About Virtrain.com
What are you passionate about?
Many people dream of finding their passion and turning it into a lifelong pursuit. It’s the subject of an endless stream of “find your passion” self-help books, manuals, videos and Web sites.
There’s literally a thriving “find your passion” guru industry. And many of them provide great tools.
However, unfortunately not many of them get you past the “seeking” stage. They provide a framework for “finding your passion” but not enough specifics or examples or options.
For many of us, that means finding our life’s passion – our life’s purpose – can be a frustrating cycle of trial and error. We buy a book, try some new method, then give up when there’s no clear path to follow.
Is Passion Unique? Is YOUR Passion Different Than Mine?
Most likely it is. The precise purpose each of us is chosen by Destiny to fulfill is as unique as we are.
Yet it helps to have a template or some examples to get us started, to help us be informed about options for pursuing our purpose.
Learning and Your Passion
In the end, pursuing things you’re passionate about involves learning.
- Learning about the areas you find compelling
- Learning how to participate in things you’re passionate about
- Learning about options to prepare for a life based around your passions
We provide tools and resources for each step in your learning process.
Finding Your Purpose
We believe if you find your purpose, you will find your passion. Do the thing you are “purposed” to do, and passion will follow.
We also believe that your purpose is innate to you. It’s already inside you. It’s knit right into the fiber of your being.
You find yourself drawn to certain things – certain ideas, certain activities, certain groups – because they’re part of who you already are.
Our “Purpose Square” can help you better understand your purpose. It provides a relatively simple guideline for discovering whether your purpose is:
- Social – Related to People
- Technical – Related to Things
- Artistic – Related to Beauty
- Verbal – Related to Words
Obviously, most of us share a mix of those traits, but the Purpose Square can help you explore options related to each.
We also offer more detailed profiling tools through our friends and affiliates.
Exploring New Fields
The quest to fulfill your passion begins with information. Unfortunately, this is one area where information overload can really come into play.
We sift hundreds of feeds and search through thousands of resources – many available via YouTube, for example – to bring you insights into career areas, freelance or entrepreneurial opportunities or just good stories of people doing things you’re passionate about.
Preparing to Thrive
Pursuing your passion takes courage. Especially if it involves a job change or a new location, it can be scary.
Preparation can help ease the transition.
Once you’ve examined your purpose and explored some useful options, the next step is to start preparing. We help with that by identifying and linking you with resources for insights, training, mentorships or memberships, and communities related to your passion.
Fill Your Niche
Career success in the 21st century is all about finding and filling a niche. That’s really great news, because there is almost no limit to the number or variety of niches in our economy.
However, unfortunately, our traditional education systems don’t teach people to find their niche. You have to do it on your own.
Luckily, there are many excellent providers of niche training and learning programs. Find the one that fits your unique style, and you can put yourself on a path to a great career.
Niche Career Training Providers
We profile training providers in unique, emerging career areas. Often these areas are off the public radar. They’re career specialties that many people find by accident or by sheer luck.
Hopefully, working together you can give “luck” a helping hand.
Companies and Careers
Because of demographics and technology, many industries are actually experiencing shortages of skilled help. It’s not just the super high tech areas like biotech or computer programming, either.
Many companies and career fields are looking for good people due to:
- Retirements among an aging workforce
- Advances in technology that open new opportunities
Our profiles focus on these companies and areas with an emphasis on:
- Software-oriented jobs. Not programming software, running it.
- Specialties within established careers. So much of our economy is splintering into niches it’s sometimes hard to keep track. But every niche brings unique opportunity.
- New ways to do old things. Many “old line” career areas have been revamped and updated for the digital age. Their new formats represent amazing opportunities for sharp, well-trained people.
We keep an eye out for these situations, seeking out companies or training providers that have found niches you might be able to mine for your future golden opportunity.
Then we bring them to you in the form of:
- Profiles
- Information about how to take advantage of the opportunity
We welcome inquiries from companies who would like to be the subject of a profile or who would like to sponsor Virtrain.com. Contact us for more detail.
